The picture on the left  is a very common way to do a sight track in the industry. First thing we do not like is that stitching running across the length of your guns slide, creating even more wear points for the gun. Next, depending on the leather that was used in the manufacturing process and after break in period, if you push on the holster, eventually the front sight will touch the leather. This way of doing a sight track in our opinion is a temporary fix if anything. Look at ours to the right, slick as ice, well made and clean cut. Our sight track gives you full coverage and a full barrier from the leather, even if you push down on it. Using our sight track, the front site of your gun will never touch leather. Our material is a one piece molded synthetic, produced exclusively for High Noon Holsters. What we hate most about the two pieces of leather sewed in (picture on the left) is that it just doesn't work very well. We would not want you to draw your gun to defend your life and come up with a nice ball of leather on your front site.
