By Bob Arganbright Combat Handguns Sept 2008 High Noon Skin Guard High Noon Holsters pancake style Skin Guard strong side hip holster is constructed of a flexible black nylon-like synthetic material. High Noon describes this new material as a laminate that's "a specially extruded Laminate skin with a vegetable tanned leather backing." The open top pouch fully encloses the pistol's triggerguard to prevent premature
access to the trigger to ensure a safe draw with a cocked and locked Model 1911 pistol, and has a large sweat guard projecting upwards on the back side, thus the Skin Guard. The top of the pouch is shaped to provide a full shooting grip with first hand contact, and it has an adjustable tension device placed at the root of the triggerguard that can be adjusted to provide the desired security. The Skin Guard is open at the bottom end, and has tabs
projecting from the leading and trailing edges for the belt slots. The belt slots are sized for a 1-3/4-inch belt, and place the pistol with at a FBI angle (gun butt tipped forward).
