| | | | | By Sheriff Jim Wilson Need For Speed Review High Noon Holsters Need For Speed rig is a variation on the pancake holster.
Its forward belt loop is located behind the holster body in the traditional location, and a second belt loop is located aft of the holster and when the belt is tightened helps tuck the gun and rig into the body. At the top of the Need For Speed holster is a tension screw, with a rubber washer that gives good retention. In addition, this High Noon Holster has a reinforced holster mouth for one handed holstering and a stitched in sight track that is sewn into the body of the holster. |

 | | | The Need for Speed gave good concealment for the Para pistols tested, with a slight FBI cant, which I prefer. In addition the holster set the guns at a good angle for a quick, positive draw. And with the retention setup, there was no need for a thumbsnap device that would slow down the defensive draw. This holster is a good example of a quality rig available for pistols of the 1911 design.
